Landmark Lawn and Garden Supply to Focus on Growth Markets, Adds Robotic Mowers to Its Product Line

  • Forms management partnership with The Fahey Group

  • Announces closing of Westlake/Bay Village store to focus on growing Avon and Strongsville locations

  • Will offer Robin Autopilot robotic mowers for the 2019 season

Strongsville, Ohio – October 3, 2018 – Landmark Lawn and Garden Supply, one of Northeast Ohio’s leading suppliers of lawn and garden products and services for contractors, residents and cities, is taking several steps to better serve its customers and drive future growth.

The company has formed a partnership with The Fahey Group, which will manage the business, led by Logan Fahey, founder of the Fahey Group. Logan Fahey has successful operating and consulting experience across multiple industries, including retail businesses and start-ups. He has advised small businesses in the areas of social impact, marketing and sales, and overall operational management.

Landmark intends to continue to expand its ability to serve all of its customers and grow for the future. To concentrate its efforts on the growing markets in Avon and Strongsville, Ohio, the company will close its Westlake/Bay Village store on November 1, 2018. Customers of that store will continue to be served by the Avon store, which is only a 10 to 15 minute drive from Westlake and Bay Village. In addition, Westlake/Bay Village customers will be offered several incentives, including delivery from the Avon store at the same cost, free delivery to job sites for contractors, and free delivery online for all retail products. All deliveries to the Westlake and Bay Village area will be from the Avon location, and customers will still be able to call the existing Westlake/Bay Village number.

“Closing the store was a difficult decision to make,” said Gary Smith, President of Landmark. “However, Avon and Strongsville are experiencing faster growth in residential construction, and we have decided to focus our resources on our locations in those markets. We are committed to providing our Westlake and Bay Village area customers with the same high level of service as always, and we see an exciting future ahead for our business under the strong management of Logan Fahey and The Fahey Group.”

Additionally, Landmark Automation (a partnership between The Fahey Group, Landmark Lawn and Garden and Total Property Contracting) is partnering with Robin Autopilot to offer robotic mowers to customers in Northeast Ohio. As seen on ABC’s Shark Tank, the Robin Autopilot is a robotic lawn mower service that is battery-powered and emissions-free. The robots are quiet, can mow in the rain, and can be programmed for precise daily cutting for a greener, healthier lawn. Landmark will offer Robin Autopilot for pre-buy beginning November 1 for the 2019 season. Customers will be able to visit either of Landmark’s stores in Strongsville or Avon for a demonstration or visit cleveland.robinautopilot.com for more information.

“Robotic mowers are an exciting part of the future of lawn care, and Landmark is committed to helping our customers purchase, install and maintain them,” Fahey said. “This new offering will complement Landmark’s existing full line of lawn products, tools and services, and will strengthen our capability to be the one-stop shop for all of our customers’ lawn and garden supply needs. We have a tremendous customer base, a trusted brand and a long history of serving contractors and homeowners in the Northeast Ohio market. With the expansion of our offerings and the consolidation of our stores, the company is well-positioned for growth.”
